Planting for the Future

2020 has been a year to pause and reflect, as well as focus the things that truly matter. For most of us, we’ve traded in the non-stop activities for quiet time with the family. This newfound freedom has also inspired many to let go and travel the open road. At Toshiba, we’ve taken the opportunity to look at ways – near and far – to positively impact the environment.

One of The Wall Street Journal’s Top 100 Companies for Sustainability, Toshiba has a long record of sustainability and environmental responsibility. In 2016, we partnered with PrintReleaf to enable and encourage our customers to restore rainforests – one tree at a time. When customers print, PrintReleaf automatically converts the paper footprint into actual trees in forests that need it most around the world.

The impact has been phenomenal!  In just four short years, Toshiba and our customers have planted nearly 100,000 trees across the globe – from the Black Hills of South Dakota to the Island of Madagascar. Over 775 million pages have been reforested to bring these natural resources back to life.

We’re seeing more customers embrace the opportunity to give back and leave the world a little better. There are even new ways to promote this incredible program and encourage others to join the cause:

  • The PrintReleaf Profile landing page promotes the latest statistics for trees planted and pages recycled
  • Integrated links to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn enable customers to quickly share their PrintReleaf Lifetime Certificate via social channels
  • A new web widget provides a dynamic live feed of lifetime stats

Now is the time to do your part. Through Toshiba and PrintReleaf, it’s never been easier to make a positive, lasting impression.
